ThornCreek Church is a fast, growing church located North of Denver, Colorado. They are looking to expand in a big way on their 15 acres of land and plan on doing so in a phased approach. The new facility being built will be comprised of three separate buildings and will be accomplished through a master plan that solves ministry needs and serves the community around them. Consider the community garden and the nature walk that are integrated into the natural wetlands area. These elements allow for the beauty of Colorado to be celebrated by the community members.
The natural design of the site gives a strategic location for the parking lot to be tucked behind the facility – controlling the aesthetics of a sea of asphalt so common in today’s large developments. Because of the nature of the site location, additional documentation is required, which Mountain West Architecture has been helping the church leadership navigate. Currently ThornCreek and Mountain West Architecture is in process of developing construction drawings and preparing a building permit. Estimated total project cost, including land, is $5.9 million.
